Donor Services and Finance Assistant
SEND is a multi-denominational agency serving churches across Canada by encouraging and facilitating global ministry among unreached people groups.
As we pursue this mission, we are trusting the Lord to provide a new fellow worker to fill an important position on our team: Donor Services and Finance Assistant.
The individual to fill this role must have a passion for God’s glory and His Kingdom advance among the nations (Matthew 28). It is essential that the individual has a growing spiritual walk with Christ, and a desire to serve Christ by providing excellent services for donors who support missionaries and projects through SEND Canada.
The committed Christ-follower in this role must demonstrate capacity for both joyful service and competence in balancing multiple tasks while working carefully and confidentially, with attention to accuracy and detail. The Donor Services and Finance Assistant must have strong interpersonal, numerical, and computer skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new technology, procedures, and systems.
The Donor Services and Finance Assistant primarily supports the Donor Services Coordinator in delivering excellent service to donors, while also assisting the Accountant by preparing, updating, and reviewing some finance-related documentation. Responsibilities of the Donor Services and Finance Assistant include:
- processing donations through all donation platforms offered by SEND Canada
- processing donor inquiries and requests by interacting personally with donors
- creating and delivering electronic and printed acknowledgments for donors
- maintaining SEND Canada’s donor database
- delivering reports and/or supportive communication to donors, missionaries, SEND Canada staff, and others
- assisting the Donor Services Coordinator in implementing new technology, systems, and procedures
- assisting the Donor Services Coordinator in the delivery of annual receipts
- other assistance as assigned by the Donor Services Coordinator
- assisting the Accountant by preparing, updating and/or reviewing various finance-related documentation and calculations
This position is part-time, for approximately 24 hours a week, and is based in the home office of SEND Canada, in Komoka, Ontario (near London).
SEND International is a faith-based mission, and each member is asked to raise some financial support from interested churches and individuals. Salary will be provided.
