1. How do I make a credit card contribution?
There are two methods of making a credit card contribution to SEND Canada.
A. Online - Make a donation using the CanadaHelps.org website. The link is here.
You will start at the SEND International of Canada, Inc. page. Select "Donate Now". Enter the value of your donation and select the fund. For missionaries, select "Missionary Support" and then fill in their name in the message box. Read and enter all appropriate information. You may use Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Interact or PayPal. CanadaHelps will issue you an email tax receipt and forward the funds to us on a timely basis.
B. By Phone - Call the SEND Office to make a donation. When you call, give us the details of your request. You may use Visa or Mastercard. Be assured that all of your credit card information is kept in a secure location at all times. Credit card deductions are made on the 4th, 11th, 18th, and 28th of every month. After you donation is processed, we will send you an acknowledgement for your donation and an official tax receipt after the end of the year.
2. Can I make arrangements to make a monthly donation through my bank?
Yes, you may find that this is the most convenient and cost efficient way to send your donation to SEND Canada. First, print off a copy of the "Pre-Authorized Contribution Plan" form from the link here. Then, following the instructions at the top of the form, fill in all of the needed information. Along with a Voided cheque, send the completed form to the address listed below. If you have any questions, please send us a note, call us or send us an email.
3. When will I get my receipt when I send in a donation?
Once we have received and processed your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement letter indicating the amount and designation of your contribution. A few weeks after the end of the calendar year, we will send you an official tax receipt for your records.
4. How do I make a personal gift to my favorite missionary?
If you would like to send a personal gift to your missionary for a special occation, we can handle that for you on a case by case basis. When you send us the funds, note who the funds are desinated for and we will send you a receipt. (The receipt cannot be used on your income taxs according to CRA guidleines.) The funds will then be forwarded to the missionary at the end of the month.
5. Can I donate to SEND Canada using personal stocks?
This method of giving is on the rise. It is an increasingly effective way for donors to partner with SEND International workers. Simply let us know your wishes to donate and we will send you all of the related information you need to contact our investment advisor at BMO/Nesbitt Burns. Once your gift is processed, SEND Canada will acknowledge your gift and issue you a tax receipt.
6. How can I donate a life insurance policy to SEND Canada?
